We're Hiring Residential Mechanical Designers
ARCXIS (formerly DPIS Engineering, LLC.) is full-service engineering and third-party inspection service in the residential industry providing services to mostly single and multi-family homebuilders nationwide.
Job Type
This is a level II or level III designer position. Full time hybrid with one day WFH in one of the following locations:
• Houston, TX
• Dallas, TX
• Phoenix, AZ
• Las Vegas, NV
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Job duties will be to produce mechanical designs and final construction documents in Wrightsoft and AutoCAD
• Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects
Required Competencies:
• Wrightsoft (mechanical designers)
• AutoCAD
• The ability to read blueprints
• Compute dimensions from architectural plans
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work well with other engineers/designers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Energy and building code compliance for mechanical systems. Ability to become fluent in California Title 24, ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codes
• Drive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
• Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organization levels.
• Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker
• Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, etc…)
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Preferred 2+ years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or structural design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction, or education in related field.
• Must have experience with Wrightsoft and load calculations
Compensation will be determined based on experience.
Must be able to pass background check and be eligible to work in the United States

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
