WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Exemplifies MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
• Repair/install HVAC related systems and equipment as assigned, including air conditioning units, exhaust fans, boilers and chillers.
• Determine and schedule preventative maintenance schedule.
• Install, diagnose, inspect, repair, maintain and service a wide variety of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment and systems.
• Repair and maintain low-pressure hot water systems, gas wall heaters, ventilation units and air conditioning units.
• Maintain all records associated with refrigerant usage as required by EPA.
• Replace fans, belts, motors, gaskets, filters, and compressors, and lubricate parts.
• Add refrigerants and oils, and test for defective parts.
• Adjust and install switches, gauges, thermostats, valves, tubing transformers, pressure regulator controllers, and other parts as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic and pneumatic HVAC related systems.
• De-scale tubing, cut and thread pipe to make pipe and electrical connections.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures, and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain tools, equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.
• Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools related to duties.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, State and Tribal regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions.
• Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• A valid HVAC certification such as EPA required. Other valid HVAC certifications may also be considered.
• Must have and maintain a valid WA State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of two (2) years journeyman level experience working in HVAC trade required and must be verified by work history.
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
• Knowledge of standard practices of the HVAC trade and theory of HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of advanced applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations of State and local authorities pertaining to HVAC.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as needed.
• Ability to diagnose defects and install, repair and maintain heating, ventilating and air-conditioning units.
• Ability to operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, including but not limited to air compressors, pneumatic controls, and welding and soldering tools.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, shop drawings, schematics and sketches.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Availability: Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
• Physical: Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
• Environment: Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
