CABS Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Install Supervisor to lead and mentor our team of HVAC installers. As our Lead HVAC Installation Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing installation jobs, ensuring quality control, and managing the team's schedules and performance. You will also interface with homeowners and building inspectors, manage materials and equipment orders, and provide on-the-job training to improve team efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the HVAC installation team, setting work priorities, evaluating performance, and providing guidance on proper installation techniques.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate job schedules to maximize team efficiency, including interfacing with homeowners and building inspectors to arrange installation dates.
• Job Site Management: Visit job sites to monitor progress, ensure quality workmanship, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Material & Equipment Orders: Ensure necessary materials and equipment are ordered for each job and manage job documentation.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing guidance and training to installation crews, fostering growth and improving the quality of work.
• Permit Compliance: Ensure all jobs are permitted appropriately and meet all local and state regulations; attend inspections and meet with inspectors as required.
• Documentation & Reporting: Return completed job documentation and payments to the office, prepare required paperwork, and evaluate staff to determine and fulfill training needs.
• Hands-on Work: Occasionally assist with ductwork, furnace installations, and other HVAC-related tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience, with at least 2+ years of experience leading a team of installers.
• Certification: EPA certification is required.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation processes. Experience working with Service Titan and Google suite is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with homeowners, team members, and building inspectors.
• Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with smartphones, email, and scheduling software.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and installing HVAC equipment.
