Job Title: HVAC Apprentice
Job Description
We are seeking HVAC Apprentices at Level 1, 2, and 3 to assist HVAC Technicians in the installation and repair of HVAC controls and Humidification systems. This role involves using knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. The Level 3 Apprentice is particularly geared towards those ready to take the Journeyman test.
Responsibilities
• Assist HVAC Technicians in the installation and repair of HVAC controls and Humidification systems.
• Use knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.
• Perform service technician work and rough-in installer tasks.
• Work under the guidance of experienced HVAC Technicians.
• Assist in the installation of HVAC and sheet metal systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure timely completion and quality of all work performed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Keep the work truck clean and maintain adequate inventory.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, managers, and the general public.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policies.
• Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics.
• Resolve customer complaints and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Document completed work and submit reports daily.
• Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Plan and organize work, prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Continue training to maintain knowledge of the latest equipment and technologies.
• Work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Essential Skills
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC controls and humidification systems.
• Experience in sheet metal and HVAC installation.
• Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and installation techniques.
• Ability to use a smartphone and learn company software.
• Proficiency with necessary tools and test equipment.
• Ability to repair heating/air conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines, exercise good business judgment, prioritize assignments, and juggle multiple tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with EPA Universal certification.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, HVAC equipment, blueprint reading, wiring, and duct installation.
• Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Work Environment
This job operates in both indoor and outdoor environments and is exposed to changing conditions. The work environment includes high noise levels, grease, lubricants, hazardous chemicals, electric shock, moving parts, and high/precarious places. Frequently, you will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $52000.00
