What you will do:
The PM Technician position requires the highest level of professionalism, problem solving and communication skills for this critical, customer-facing role. The technician works independently, providing technical service to clean ice machines at various locations, while delivering the desired customer service experience. The PM Technician aspires to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction and maximizes customer retention.
The successful, results-oriented technician will be able to clean ice machines, aiming to increase equipment life and reliability, reduce service calls and emergency ice purchases, all while increasing customer happiness and loyalty. The PM Tech will demand the best of themselves and their colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
How you will do it:
• Efficiently service and clean ice machines as required, ensuring they are functioning optimally and meeting the customer’s needs.
• Check in and out with the on-duty manager, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times to ensure smooth communication and operations.
• Promptly pick up and deliver ice as needed for service calls, ensuring timely responses to customer requests.
• Assess each situation thoroughly and report any additional actions needed (e.g., parts, cleaning, replacements) to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Handle payments, shut off, and/or pull equipment as necessary, ensuring all actions are carried out accurately and professionally.
• Meticulously document all actions by completing the required forms, reports, logs, and records to maintain transparency and track progress.
• Contribute to keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe, supporting a productive work environment.
• Ensure that the vehicle is clean and free from ice and trash at the end of each shift, maintaining a professional image and a functional work vehicle.
• Regularly check vehicle fluids, wipers, and tires to help maintain the service life of the vehicle and prevent unnecessary issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, always looking for ways to support the team and contribute to the overall success of the operation.
• Consistently represent Easy Ice/Automatic Icemakers with a positive attitude, professionalism, and dedication to excellence, reflecting the brand’s values and mission.
What we are look for:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Vocational/Technical Training preferred
Experience:
• 3-6 months’ proven field service experience
• Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
Work environment and Physical demands:
• The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Stands for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day)
• While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated noise levels
• Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
