Job Description
EMPLOYER: Lennox International Inc.
JOB TITLE: Strategic Sourcing Principal - International
LOCATION: Richardson, TX, and hybrid role, may work from home
DUTIES:
- Responsible for sourcing international freight providers, warehousers and transportation management system (TMS) providers.
- Develop a global sourcing strategy for commodities, define project scopes and identify savings opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with vendors.
- Lead the design and implementation of policies and metrics to ensure savings goals are realized using subject matter expertise.
- Advise and work with technical buyers, engineers and management to identify new product needs.
- Identify new sources in order to meet business requirements.
- Serve as primary interface between company components and suppliers on strategic/critical quality, engineering and procurement matters.
- Develop and implement long and short-range sourcing strategies for very complex and high-risk items.
- Apply knowledge of contract law, the request for quote (RFQ) process, supplier and part qualification processes, and low cost country sourcing.
- Present supply chain strategy to management.
- Work across the organization at all levels, and develop strategic commodity plans.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Transportation Principal, Supply Chain Principal, or in a related/similar position.
- Experience therein to include 6 years of experience analyzing and coordinating logistical functions, performing supply chain analysis, and presenting supply chain strategy to management.
- Experience therein to include 5 years of experience managing activities related to supply chain projects and developing strategic commodity plans for sourcing.
- Experience therein to include 3 years of experience negotiating and managing contracts.
- Domestic and international travel required up to 30% annually.
- Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Transportation Principal, Supply Chain Principal, or in a related/similar position.
- Experience therein to include 4 years of experience analyzing and coordinating logistical functions, performing supply chain analysis, and presenting sourcing strategy to management.
- Experience therein to include 3 year of experience managing activities related to supply chain projects and developing strategic commodity plans for sourcing.
- Experience therein to include 1 year of experience negotiating and managing contracts.
- Domestic and international travel required up to 30% annually.
- Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
