Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide support on HVAC construction jobs by:
• Reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project.
• Laying out of the roof penetrations and ducting; and, laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman.
• Assisting the Construction foreman as needed on the job.
• Coordinating and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and material costs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• HVAC Sheet Metal Installation Knowledge
• Knowledge of sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units.
• Ability to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
This position requires a high school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 4+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling.
