The team performing preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment at Camp Lejeune is comprised of individuals from eastern NC, including Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro, and Morehead City. Primary responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of machines by performing preventive maintenance tasks on various types of commercial HVAC equipment, such as air handlers and VAV systems. This may also involve assisting workers and journeymen with general duties of lesser skill, like supplying materials and tools, holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas, machines, or equipment. The ideal EMI HVAC Helper performs any task as instructed while following all health and safety standards.
$19.58/hr plus $9.75 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect motors, pulleys, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
• SOME KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS, MATERIALS, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED IN HEATING AND COOLING EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY
• Works effectively in a team.
• FOLLOW VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ADHERES TO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
• Adaptable and flexible in work situations.
• Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner.
• Practices Workplace Safety in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment.
• Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid DL compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Regular, dependable attendance.
• OVERTIME- Available evenings & weekend.
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping.
• Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
• Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions.

Preferred Qualification:
