Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our HVAC service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing service technicians, ensuring high-quality HVAC maintenance and repair, and driving sales through effective service writing strategies.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead a team of service technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, inventory management, and customer interactions.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through excellent service experiences.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff on automotive repair techniques, customer service skills, and upselling opportunities.
• Manage service writing processes to ensure accurate documentation of services performed and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Align departmental goals with overall business objectives to drive profitability and growth.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining financial integrity within the department.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in HVAC service management or a similar role within the HVAC industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Experience in upselling services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
• Familiarity with service writing processes and tools used in the HVAC repair industry.
• Ability to manage cash handling processes accurately while adhering to company policies.
• A background as a mechanic or service technician is preferred but not required.
