Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter for our Commercial Refrigeration Systems team in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining refrigerant piping systems in grocery stores and other commercial businesses.
About the Position:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of commercial refrigeration and pipefitting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration installation, electrical, and microprocessor control systems.
• Piping knowledge of supermarket equipment from cases to racks.
Responsibilities:
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain refrigerant piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, setting cases, and start up refrigeration systems.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials/equipment according to job specifications.
• Cut pipe using various methods and thread pipe using threading machine.
• Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine.
• MOUNT pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe.
• Assemble and install pipes and fittings using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints.
• Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meter, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls/piping.
• Test piping systems for leaks and diagnose refrigeration systems with necessary repairs.
