About the Job
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design and Plumbing Consultant to join our team at ZipRecruiter. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems for federal healthcare facilities across the United States.
Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year
You will work closely with architects and engineers to develop HVAC systems, plumbing designs, and other mechanical systems for VA Medical Centers and other federal and private project work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop HVAC systems and plumbing designs for federal healthcare facilities
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success
• Evaluate and select standard engineering techniques and procedures to perform assigned tasks
• Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables
Requirements:
• 10-15 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in federal healthcare facility design
• PE license and strong understanding of engineering principles
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Windows software, and mechanical engineering design software
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
