Job Summary
Johns Hopkins University is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Plumbing Shop Assistant Supervisor. As part of our Building Operations and Maintenance team, this individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring seamless delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and direct staff members in their tasks and responsibilities
• Ensure all work orders are completed efficiently and effectively
• Liaise with management and employees to resolve any issues or concerns
• Maintain accurate records and reports on job performance and productivity
• Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new technologies
• Be available to respond to emergency situations as required
Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the trade, including 2 years in a supervisory role
• Journeymen License (HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical) required
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read blueprints and navigate a construction environment
