Job Description
PrideNow is hiring for multiple service technicians for our client in Charlotte, NC. As a service technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of customer and company equipment, specifically mobile refrigeration units on commercial trucks.
2nd Shift: 1pm-10 p.m.
Salary: $21-$28/hour.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment, focusing on refrigeration unit maintenance equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
• Perform all levels of maintenance services, with a focus on refrigeration units and equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
• Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Read complex schematics associated with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they are working properly.
• Work independently and efficiently, performing duties with little or no supervision.
• Use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools like pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as required by location management.
Required Skills:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience with vehicle HVAC systems repair and troubleshooting.
• At least 3 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting automotive commercial refrigeration equipment/vehicle HVAC (preferred).
