Service Technician / Refrigeration
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Barlow Scientific, Inc. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing laboratory equipment and scientific refrigeration systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers, refrigerated lab equipment, Cryogenics & LN2 Systems, and other types of laboratory equipment.
• Install and service State of the Art Alarm systems for lab equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services performed for customers.
Requirements:
• Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
• 1-4 years of job-related experience.
• Hands-on lab equipment experience (refrigeration, ultra-low freezer, and LN2 cryo storage).
• Refrigeration/EPA (CFC) certification.
• Excellent problem-solving ability, electro-mechanical skills, and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
• This position requires use of a company vehicle to travel to customer sites for service.
• Limited exposure to conditions both indoors and outdoors is expected.
• Flexibility required to work outside normal working hours for overtime as needed.
Salary: Estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
