Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the optimal performance and efficiency of our heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and repairs to ensure all building systems are functioning properly.
• System Performance: Utilize the building automation system to manage system performance and settings, including revising schedules for events and other reasons.
• Vendor Management: Manage vendors who assist with system maintenance and repairs.
• Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and agencies.
• Inventory: Ensure all major systems are inventoried and updated regularly.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other trades, vendors, and contractors to improve or replace systems.
• Emergency Response: Provide emergency on-call services during evenings and weekends (24/7).
Requirements
• Education: Technical certificate in HVAC and completion of multiple classes and/or certifications in building management systems.
• Licenses: Universal CFC license and Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license (preferred).
• Experience: At least 7 years of HVAC-related experience, with a strong understanding of advanced building systems and excellent repair skills.
• Physical Abilities: Must be physically able to move around the Milton Academy campus without restriction, lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform work from various physical positions.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
