City Experiences is seeking a Regional Port Engineer for our City Experiences operation in Washington, DC.

About The Opportunity
The Regional Port Engineer for HVAC & Plumbing reports directly to the Regional Director of Marine Operations and is responsible for all aspects of their regional vessels as well as any future services that originate and/or terminate at their location. The Regional Port Engineer for HVAC & Plumbing will oversee the HVAC and Plumbing systems and the maintenance and long-term project planning for their respective vessel operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Works to ensure compliance with all company policies and oversees the condition of their service vessels inclusive of the condition of their docks/pier.
• Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and components, including, but not limited to the heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure HVAC & refrigeration systems operate efficiently.
• Respond to service calls promptly and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and components, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Identify plumbing problems and apply effective solutions.
• Test HVAC and plumbing systems for proper functionality and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
• Works port Director of Marine Operations to ensure systems remain in good working order consistent with Coast Guard regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, daily checks of the computerized maintenance management system program to confirm that all team members are contributing to the timely completion of vessel checks, maintenance, and repairs.
• Collaborate with Port Captain and Food & Beverage Director to conduct audits of all systems to ensure one maintenance and preventative maintenance schedule is kept along with forecasting any long-term replacement needs
• Report weekly on ongoing project statuses as well as monthly updates for items accomplished during the month to the port leadership
• Identify any outside partners/contractors and standards for port operations to use
• Assists the Regional Director of Marine Operations in overseeing operational budget adherence for each service, including but not limited to weekly/monthly budget reviews for the purposes of identifying and resolving budgetary issues.
• Work with port Director of Marine Operations and Food & Beverage Departments to maintain and improve the fleet’s vessel conditions so as to remain in ready condition for showings, charters, and group outings.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician and Plumber, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in each field.
• Possess current HVAC Master license or certification and Plumbing license or certification/
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and components.
• Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of heating and cooling load calculations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Valid TWIC, First Aid, and CPR
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork with the ability to establish & maintain effective professional relationships
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detailed working knowledge of all ships systems and their proper maintenance
• Ability to analyze and solve problems while prioritizing tasks in order of importance
• Ability to maintain calm and take control in various situations
• Effective communication skills to direct crew, keep passengers safe and relay pertinent information
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds; moving furniture and other heavy items such as provisions up and down stairs
• Will be required to be available for work weekends and on all major holidays
