The HVAC Technician Level 1 is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize your knowledge and experience to manage daily operations and maintenance of all physical plant equipment.
• Become familiar with plant systems, including electricity, pneumatic systems, air compressors, chillers, boilers, air handling units, and other machinery.
• Conduct operator rounds, documenting equipment conditions and reporting any anomalies.
• Perform preventative maintenance and effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
• Gain proficiency in testing and analyzing systems that involve water treatment chemicals.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Preferably 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC trade standards and applicable building codes.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and basic record-keeping.
Skills:
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands, climb, stoop, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
