NSI Industries is seeking a Global Sourcing Director (HVAC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering savings through productive pipelines. Key responsibilities include leading strategy development for our HVAC division and ensuring compliance with global supply chain standards. Key Responsibilities
• Lead strategy development / implementation for HVAC spend (that will continue to generate value through organic growth, NPD, and acquisition)
• Oversee supplier identification, development, negotiation, qualification, certification, and compliance, across multiple brands and manufacturing locations
• Foster close partnership with internal stakeholders, obsessing over quality, ongoing best cost, strategic advantage, and service level excellence
• Invest in and own supplier relationship management
• Support brand NPD pipelines to deliver programs on-time, on-cost, and on-spec
• Support data integrity to support meaningful analyses which drive meaningful business decisions
Critical Skills & Qualifications
• 7-10 years of global sourcing experience; bachelor’s degree or combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience managing metal commodities with a deep understanding of metals markets, supply, cost dynamics, and manufacturing processes, and broad business knowledge with progressive experience in Category Sourcing and 2nd Source Development
• Thorough experience identifying, vetting, and developing domestic and global supplier partnerships and strategy, global / domestic experience in a lower volume / high mix business model and tariff mitigation
• Experience building an annual productivity pipeline that supports the aligned business strategy and delivers annual YOY savings through category RFQ’s, supplier development, incumbent negotiation, VA/VE, Make vs Buy, etc
• Industry relationships with metals producers in North America
• Core understanding of the Sourcing process (baseline analysis, market activities, opportunity identification and delivery)
• Demonstrated strong negotiation, project management, conflict management, initiative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent analysis skills using Excel, PowerBI, etc
• Proven experience with facilitating change in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication / influencing skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
• Ability to travel up to 30%, as needed (domestically and internationally)
