What You’ll Do:
• Installation: Install HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation units, as well as associated sheet metal ductwork and components, in commercial settings.
• Start-Up: Perform start-up procedures on HVAC equipment, ensuring systems are calibrated and functioning correctly according to manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to HVAC and sheet metal installations, providing effective solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of installed systems and ductwork to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Customer Interaction: communicate effectively with clients to explain installations, provide system operation instructions, and address any questions or concerns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation reports, service logs, and equipment specifications.
• Safety Compliance: adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing installations and start-ups, promoting a safe working environment.
• Collaboration: work closely with Project Managers, other Technicians, and Subcontractors to coordinate installation activities and resolve any on-site challenges.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a technical program in HVAC is preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in HVAC installation and start-up, with a strong background in sheet metal work.
• Technical Knowledge: proficient understanding of HVAC systems, sheet metal fabrication, and installation techniques.
• Certifications: relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification, HVAC technician certification) are preferred.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Communication Skills: Fluent English reading and writing skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients and team members.
• Driving Requirements
• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Must have positive points on state driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
• Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
• All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
• Physical Requirements
• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
