DX equipment up to 100 tons Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons Water source heat pumps and associated equipment Computer room-type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls Gas-fired and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment up to 150 tons Pneumatic, electronic, and modular DDC control systems generally associated with commercial HVAC systems Air handling equipment, including VAV systems, is typically found in larger commercial systems
Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control the level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in the system Provides repair of requested equipment, which includes replacement or adjustment of defective or worn parts/components in order to return systems to fully operational Performs proper evaluation and diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment at customer sites, which may include bringing questionable situations with equipment and/or customers to the immediate supervisor's attention Performs site start-up services for newly installed commercial equipment Consistently contacts base after each call, keeping the dispatcher informed at all times as to your job status, checking in at the end of the day, and getting the next day's job assignment before leaving for the day Performs scheduled preventative maintenance services as determined by the customer Performs cleaning of condenser and evaporator coils, fan, and ductwork Inspects, adjusts, and replaces fan belts on motors Installs wiring to connect components to an electric power source. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, express excellent communication and customer service skills, demonstrate strong initiative, and have the ability to work in both a team and individual environment while consistently adhering to Operating Procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction.
