Position Overview:
As a Service Technician, you will work closely with restaurant and hospitality managers to deliver comprehensive service solutions for a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. This includes cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service appliances. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
Salary: $30 -$42 an hour- depending on experience

Schedule:
• Exact hours differ by market, 7:00am-4:00pm is typical.
• Rotational on-call every 3-4 weeks.
• Occasional overnight travel may be necessary, depending on a candidate's market.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide service solutions for commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, and ware-washing units.
• Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment by demonstrating mechanical aptitude, reading diagrams and schematics, and utilizing troubleshooting skills.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for additional support when required during service visits.
• Install parts promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Promote and recommend additional services to customers when applicable.
• Complete accurate and timely administrative paperwork, including work orders, time sheets, receipts, and inventory reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and accident prevention procedures.
• Maintain an organized service vehicle, including accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Achieve productivity standards set by the company.
Requirements:
• 5 years of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Work around moving mechanical parts, steam equipment, open flames, and heated surfaces, with exposure to liquids, electrical shock, and varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to work at heights, including on ladders and roofs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel.
• Technical training, licenses, and certifications such as EPA or CFESA.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
