Position Summary:

Upchurch is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Sales Manager to lead and grow our high-performing service sales team. This role will focus on driving growth in our building services division, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation. With a strong foundation of established customers and a dedicated team in place, this is an exciting opportunity to build on existing success while developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strategic sales expertise with a deep understanding of building systems and a proven ability to lead and develop a team.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve annual booking and revenue targets.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively, set clear objectives, and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and address performance gaps.

Sales Strategy & Market Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand market share in building services, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales campaigns to penetrate key markets.
  • Guide the sales team in using Upchurch’s sales tools and processes to drive consistent results.

Customer & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to upsell and expand services.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, resolving issues promptly and ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
  • Represent Upchurch professionally with clients, vendors, and industry partners to enhance business opportunities.

Operational Oversight & Quality Control

  • Ensure all sales agreements, pricing, and proposals align with company policy and profit targets.
  • Monitor and audit sales activity to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, service, operations) to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Financial & Business Planning

  • Develop and manage the annual sales plan, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and performance metrics, adjusting strategies to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategy with broader business objectives.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales and sales management experience in building services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related fields).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to assess and recommend building performance solutions.
  • Proven success in developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing complex sales cycles, and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
