McCrea Equipment Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Start and Check Technician to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for those eager to develop hands-on HVAC skills while receiving training from industry experts. You'll play a key role in ensuring newly installed HVAC systems are fully operational, efficient, and ready for customers.
Duties
System Start-Up & Testing: Perform initial start-up of new HVAC systems, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
Electrical & Wiring: Handle low-voltage wiring, wire fresh air controls, and install zone dampers.
System Optimization: Conduct line set evacuation, charge heat pumps and air conditioners, and install thermostats and humidifiers.
Quality & Safety: Ensure all work meets company and industry standards while maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of hand tools for HVAC tasks.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Successfully pass both drug screening and criminal background checks.
