Estimator - HVAC, Plumbing, Pipefitting

Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

Location: Marietta, GA

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000

My client is a well-known commercial HVAC company headquartered just outaside of Marietta. We are looking for an experienced estimator who has experience estimating commercial mechanical construction if that sounds like you lets connect!

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and construction plans, to estimate material and labor requirements.
• Visit the work site to observe conditions and potential impacts on the scope of work.
• Perform take-off and pricing for mechanical work, including, piping, processing, installation, etc.
• Prepare invitation list to subcontractors & suppliers.
• Resolve estimate issues with engineers as they arise.
• Work with subcontractors to review and discuss scope of work.
• Adjust standard cost database as needed due to difficulty and risk of work.
• Draft subcontracts for new projects
• Coordinate with estimating teams to ensure accuracy of full scope of work.
• Prepare estimating files for project managers and general engineering division.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledgeable with piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Experience estimating plumbing systems, installations, and related practices.
• Familiar with different commercial mechanical practices.
• Able to accurately compute costs/figures on computer database using: percentages, algebra, and geometry.
