Position Overview
The Service Department Head is responsible for overseeing and managing all service operations within the company. This role ensures that service delivery meets quality standards, customer satisfaction is achieved, and departmental goals align with the overall objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, refrigeration, and construction, along with proven leadership skills to train and manage a team of service professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the service department to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Develop and implement service strategies that align with company goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of service staff to ensure a skilled and competent workforce.
• Monitor service performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure the service department remains competitive.
Qualifications
• 5+ years HVAC management experience
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience in hiring and training personnel.
• Excellent knowledge of service operations and customer service principles.
• Experience with commercial buildings
• Experience with refrigeration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.
• Technical proficiency in air conditioning, heating, and piping systems.
