POSITION SUMMARY The Refrigeration Construction Installer for Prime Refrigeration Systems will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining refrigerant piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, setting cases, and starting refrigeration systems in grocery stores and other commercial businesses.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
● Plan sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
● Ensure all activities are completed according to the agreed-upon plan and specifications.
● Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe.
● Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
● Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping specifications.
● Maintain professional relationships with leadership, engineers, and worksite team members.
● Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
● Ensure all safety requirements are met throughout the project, and review as needed with the Safety Manager.
● Perform quality control checkpoints ensuring QC/QA requirements & standards are met.
● Assist as needed with site preparation.
● Must be flexible - schedule consists of workdays, nights, and out-of-town.

● Knowledge of single systems, parallel rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes.
● Piping Knowledge of supermarket equipment from cases to racks
● Ability to fit, braze pipe, problem solve, move, and set refrigeration cases and equipment.
● Strong mechanical aptitude
● Ability to locate and repair leaks on racks of single units.
● Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities.
Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite
● Ability to think critically in assessing situations that will help the team move forward.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to think individually as well as collaboratively when approaching personnel issues.
● Ability to read, interpret, and communicate safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
● Certificate of completion from an HVAC-R Technical School
● Minimum of 3 years of Commercial Refrigeration experience; supermarket experience is a HUGE plus.
● Current State Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record required.
● Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen, and DMV) is required.

● Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
● Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, and cold or heat
● Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
● Possess hand and power tools needed
