The Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, including commercial refrigeration units, residential refrigerators, and HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and residential refrigeration systems
Conduct regular maintenance and service checks on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems
Perform system adjustments, calibrations, and modifications as needed
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair faults
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including time and materials used
Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices through continuous education and training
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
Proven experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerants
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as outlined with our company policy
Must be able to pass a satisfactory background screening.
EPA 608 certification (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 to 75pounds; frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy lift equipment
Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and climbing up and down of ladders
Extensive daily travel to work site locations
Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment
