Diesel Mechanic Job Description
The Diesel Mechanic Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines and other components.
• Inspect and maintain brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other essential parts.
• Ensure all equipment meets regulatory requirements and is properly licensed and registered.
• Document work orders accurately and thoroughly.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and other electronic systems.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, automotive technology)
• At least 3 years of experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles
Compensation:
$35-$50 per hour based on experience
