Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Vactor Operator to join our team at Atlantic Heating & Cooling Service. The successful candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, transporting goods, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Tasks:
• Transporting goods over land to and from manufacturing plants
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and performing preventative maintenance
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Documenting and logging work periods
• Ensuring compliance with truck driving regulations and company policies
• Maneuvering trucks into loading/unloading positions
• Verifying delivery instructions and reporting any issues
• Working in various weather conditions and maintaining a clean job site
• Providing labor support as needed for specialty crews
• Performing general maintenance on equipment and vehicles
• Following health and safety regulations
• Executing tasks safely in accordance with company policy
Essential Skills:
• Valid CDL-A with tanker endorsement
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
• Long-hour driving capability
• Knowledge of truck driving regulations
• Valid truck driving license
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Passing a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random tests
• Reliability and adaptability
Compensation Package: We offer an estimated annual salary range of $65,000-$85,000, based on experience and location. Our benefits package includes opportunities for growth and development within the company.
