Position Title: Residential Service Technician
Reports to: Residential HVAC Manager
Pay Classification: Non-Exempt
Pay Type: Hourly
Summary
An HVAC technician installs and repairs various air quality systems, maintaining clean, fixed, and safe equipment for customers. They diagnose problems, conduct warranty services, and perform emergency repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Main duties include locating and diagnosing problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and performing emergency repairs. Additional responsibilities:
• Responding to emergency calls, providing routine maintenance, and repairing the HVAC system quickly.
• Removing old systems and installing new units with minimal supervision.
• Performing routine maintenance, training junior team members, and communicating with clients and customers.
• Ordering and maintaining equipment, meeting local HVAC code, reading wiring diagrams, and interpreting technical data.
Requirements and Qualifications
• State licensure and relevant certification.
• One to four years of experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must be insurable.
