Merrick & Company is a leading provider of energy, manufacturing, and bioprocessing solutions. We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial utilities and HVAC design, with experience in engineering, design, coordination, and client communications. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and equipment datasheets.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge of utility and HVAC systems in industrial markets, including mechanical systems design, system design, duct sizing, pipe sizing, equipment sizing and selection, and specifications.
As a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will also contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including calculations and equipment datasheets. You will confirm and review applicable codes and standards, including IBC, IMC, IPC, ASME, ASHRAE, API, and NFPA.
Utilizing software such as Trace, you will perform heating and cooling load calculations and provide accurate results. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and twelve years of relevant industry experience. You should also have experience leading teams of engineers and designers on design projects and be registered as a Professional Engineer (or able to obtain registration within the first year of employment).
