Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division. This role involves maintaining and monitoring the functionality and safety of our building's systems and infrastructure, including HVAC units, alarms, fire suppression, and lawn sprinkler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and monitor building systems, including HVAC units, alarms, fire suppression, and lawn sprinkler systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as carpentry, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, dry wall repairs, painting, floor finishing, carpet care, and landscaping
• Respond to building emergencies and coordinate activities with other responders to ensure prompt resolution
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards
• Maintain logs and records of work performed, materials used, and equipment used
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; three years or more of maintenance experience preferred
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team setting
• TB test and police clearance required; authorization to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills required
