Job Title: HVAC Equipment Repair Expert
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Equipment Repair Expert to join our maintenance team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all commercial refrigeration systems in our supermarkets.
This role requires strong technical skills, including the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems. You will also be responsible for overseeing, following through, and coordinating with external equipment contractors/vendors as needed.
The estimated salary for this position is $50-$70 per hour, based on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, higher premium pay rates for overtime, and health care benefits that provide a high level of coverage at a low cost to you.
In addition to your technical skills, we value excellent communication and teamwork abilities. You will work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining records on all equipment worked on, as well as store refrigerant inventories; maintaining truck inventory, working with parts procurement requirements; completing timely record keeping related to EPA requirements; and following up and repairing discovered leaks while also performing all mandated rechecks.
