Position: HVAC Project Manager
Position Overview
We are a design/build mechanical contractor located in Chicago. We service Chicago and its surrounding areas. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead various construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, Design/Build, and mechanical systems, and will be adept at managing teams and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage HVAC construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and present project proposals, including detailed estimates and project plans.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and resolve any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• 5+ years HVAC project management experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and design/build processes.
• Experience with estimating and budgeting for construction projects.
• Familiarity with HVAC commercial, high-rise, industrial, and institutional construction projects.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
